A few words for publishers and authors

Planeta.com is trying to establish more sustainable practices and we'd like some help from our friends. This includes not receiving any unsolicited materials in print or online from authors and publishers. Personal emails are fine, but for announcements, please use the social web

Requests

Email - Please do not add us to an email newsletter or send a message with more than a few cc'd addresses.
Print Materials - please do not send unsolicited catalogs, flyers, postcards books or other hard copy materials.

How to be engaged

We offer the following ways to stay in contact:

Basics
1) Search for your book, author and region and see what is already featured on Planeta.com. If there are updates, let us know.

2) Please let us know which is the best contact person and email for your publishing house.

3) Let us know if you have an RSS feed (preferred over email newsletters!)

4) Add a link to Planeta.com from your website (if you don't have one already) and we can create a publishing house-specific topic on this wiki.

5) Invite your authors and editors to take a good look at Planeta.com and let us know if you see ways to collaborate. If you would like to submit an article for Planeta.com or suggest a link, please check out our writers' guidelines.

6) Help us keep the bibliographies current. Also, please report dead links.

7) If you are using the social web, including Facebook, Flickr, RSS, Twitter and YouTube, let us know so we can add the relevant links.

Learn to use the web to interact with readers
Do you have digital versions of your books available? (Often we prefer to receive a PDF instead of a sample copy)
Do you have a group on Facebook, Flickr or YouTube?
Set up a conversation via hangout about ways to collaborate.

Repeating the advice above, when making contact via email, please do not send unsolicited attachments. (email top tips)
