Building a new museum for Western Australia - By 2020 Perth will have a new museum in which to show its vast collection of specimens.

Rediscovering Northbridge - The Northbridge area of inner-city Perth has come to deserve its reputation as being on 'the wrong side of the tracks' in the last few years. But an ambitious historical undertaking—the Northbridge History Project—that celebrates the area's rich migrant past may well prove to be the counterpoint.

Modern Perth - Western Australia is experiencing the biggest resources boom in Australian history. Perth, as the state's centre, is at the heart of the change but is there a vision for the city and its future?

Perth: The rise of a sustainable city - Perth is not the 'Wild West' of Australia anymore.

Swan River

"In February 2000, authorities in Perth were so alarmed by a major outbreak of toxic blue-green algae in the Swan River, they closed the waterway ... Fast forward seven years and while there has not been a major toxic algal bloom or fish kill since 2005, it appears Perth rivers still can't be said to have a clean bill of health." http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-08-25/swan-river-health-feature/2856034

UWA

Sitting on the banks of the Swan River, the UWA Crawley campus is the oldest in Western Australia and among the most picturesque in the nation with its grand sandstone and terracotta buildings sitting among elegant heritage-listed gardens. Located on the ground floor of the main administration building near the main entrance on Stirling Highway, the Visitors Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and on special occasions.
