The Cancun International Airport handles the second largest volume of traffic in Mexico, and receives the highest score for its modern facilities, equipment, and security.

The airport has 3 terminals for commercial flights. Terminal 1 is used by charter flights from North America and local charter airlines. Terminal 2 is used by all domestic airlines and some international airlines, and the new Terminal 3 handles most of the international airline operations in North America and Europe.
