Totem poles most-visited site in B.C. - "It took until 2008 for the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh, who traditionally used the land that is now Stanley Park, to be physically represented at the site. That's now been addressed with People Amongst the People, three gateways covered with designs in threes and multiples of three to represent the three aboriginal groups, created by Susan Point and her team of Musqueam carvers."

Squamish BC - Young Ambassadors program

'A Journey into Time Immemorial' is based on First Nations traditional knowledge and content developed in collaboration with the Sto:lo web site development committee and staff of the Xa:ytem Longhouse Interpretive Center. It is an artistic and cultural interpretation and is not meant to convey precisely accurate archaeological information. Contemporary archaeologists view First Nations as partners and value oral traditions as a source of information about the past that augments the scientific approach. Compare this site with 'A Journey to a New Land', a complementary web site done from a scientific perspective.
